An Obituary found in the Thursday, December 11, 1930 issue of TheNeceda h Republican;Page 5,col 4; says the following: CENTRAL WISCONSIN PIONEER DIES IN ARMENIA Matthias Solchenberger, 78, pioneer resident of central Wisconsin,passe d away at 4 o'clock Friday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Len Joslyn, in Armenia,follow ing a lingering illness. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday from the Joslyn home, Rev.C . A. O'Neill of Nekoosa officiating. Burial was made in the Greenwood cemetery in Armenia. Mr. Solchenberger was born February 24, 1852, in Germany, coming tothis c ountry with his parents at the age of 4. He was married June 7, 1876, to Margaret Ferguson atWo newoc. His wife preceded him in death. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Joslyn, Mrs. AnnaKran ske and Mrs. Frances Warner of Chicago, and four sons, George of Pensacola, Fla., Matt of Athens,Wi s., Peter of Wonewoc and Robert of Nekoosa.
